A team of employees at Apple Growth Partners developed a unique tool to help address frequent questions that employees have about career and advancement opportunities at the organization. The tool is called PATH (Program for Advancement, Training, and Holistic Growth) and it clearly defines the necessary tools, resources, and skills needed and required at each level of the organization.
PATH maps five (5) critical competencies at the organization which include technical ability, client service, contribution to firm's financial success, business development, and people development and teamwork and is interactive. When employees click on each competency within the map, guidelines on how to attain the competencies are provided – such as specific training and development opportunities. The tool is used during individual development planning meeting between employees and their mentors.
As a result of the tool's implementation, the firm cites more positive energy among employees and greater depth to the firm's individual development programs. Most importantly, employees have a greater understanding of how they can advance their career at Apple Growth.
