Behind the Scenes

Dots, LLC

Award for Social Responsibility

Company Profile

Last year, DOTS coordinated a number of unique efforts using its company resources and talent to support the local community.

DOTS offered a military discount to show its appreciation to customers that serve in the military. Customers can show their military ID and receive a percentage off their purchase at any time. Additionally, DOTS sponsored the clothing for a fashion show for the New Life Community, which is a 16 week residential program for homeless families that provides them with education and training to not only gain employment, but also teaches them how to manage money and other valuable life skills. It also coordinated a “Prom Dress” drive, donating formal dresses to high school girls that could not afford dresses so that they still could attend prom.

DOTS also worked with local high schools to help seniors conduct a job shadow project and also and hosted an at-risk Urban Youth Works participant from Towards Employment who shadowed in areas of her intended college major and rotated through various distribution center roles.

In addition to these unique efforts, DOTS partnered with and donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation (exceeding their donations from the previous year), volunteered frequently at the Cleveland Food Bank to pack lunches and make meals, and held a food drive over the holidays.
