2005 Job Attributes Importance Survey
All applicants for the 2005 NorthCoast 99 Award were required to identify three (3) of their organization’s Top Performers and have them complete a 10-minute online survey that asked them to rate the importance of 40 workplace characteristics on a scale of 1 (not important) to 7 (very important) related to what they look for in a job and what motivates their performance. Of the three Top Performers, two (2) were non-management level employees.
The survey was not a typical "employee opinion survey". Instead, the responses pertained to what is important to participants in any job, not necessarily in their current job. Individual responses were tabulated and summarized and the data were utilized in developing the weighting system for the 2005 NorthCoast 99 Application.
